Edoid languages are approximately 30 languages spoken by 5 Million speakers in the south of Nigeria. In his presentation, Iroro imagines a world where you can access services from your mobile phone or bank ATM using your own language, or taking an online class in one of the Edoid languages. He believes that accessible translation applications can advance language literacy, documentation and preservation, facilitate good governance and national development and expedite social, economic and technological empowerment.
